Learn trust one step at a time

Many of us go through very rough seasons or wilderness experiences in life. These experiences show up uninvited. They shake our relationships, our careers... Strike our very own life. 

For instance, the year 2011 shook my life to the very core. Cancer showed threatening my life, my career and my own faith. However, that cancer journey helped me experience Jesus in a whole new way—and I cannot be silent about it. 

Hello, I’m Yilda Rivera. I’m an author, writer, copywriter and a cancer survivor. 

As result of that cancer journey, I wrote “Courage Under Fire” (Valentía en la Batalla, Spanish version). Courage Under Fire is a story about faith, courage and strength in the face of fear and adversity. It’s about the courage and strength that can only come from the understanding of WHO IS who is with you.

I have promoted and presented my book in numerous speaking engagements. And I’ve had the blessing of inspiring others through my story. 

This deeper understanding of knowing more who isthe one who is walking with me transformed me. The knowing more who isthe one who is within me, moves me everyday to write, to speak, to do, and not be idle.

Through my writing and through my life, I want to help others realize that despite uncertainty and chaos, there are still firm choices we can make:

·     Keep our eyes in Jesus.

·     Learn to recognize His voice.

·     Respond to His voice.

Faith in Jesus is about following Him out of love. And following and experiencing Jesus is about action—in every aspect of your life. It is not about having a set of moral beliefs, or a particular religion. So come and see!

It is a great joy to share with you life and hope through my blog. Let’s continue growing into a meaningful relationship with Jesus, as we learn how to walk in the confidence of faith.
